KGF 2 Hindi Movie Review, Cast and Director

After multiple postponements, blockbuster film KGF’s sequel KGF 2 saw the light of the day on Thursday. As expected, the film garnered a great deal of attention thanks to the hype the film has garnered amongst the global audience. The film released on April 14, amid festivities across India. For the unversed, festivals like Puthandu (Tamil Nadu), Vishu (Kerala), Bihu (Assam) and Baisakhi (Punjab) are being celebrated and it might surely offer a good start for KGF 2. The opening collection of the entertainer is also expected to shatter records at the box office.

Unfortunately, the film has also become the latest victim of piracy. Yes, you read that right! KGF 2 has been leaked on a few infamous piracy-based websites and the latest development might now impact it’s smooth running in theatres subsequently affecting its box office collection. A few vigilant fans and followers of the leading man who noticed the notorious activities on the internet, were quick to share the news on social media. Many have also been requesting netizens to not promote piracy through any means, and to encourage virtuous process of viewing.

Well, KGF 2 is not the first Kannada film to be leaked online. Earlier, theatrical and OTT releases including One Cut Two Cut, Love Mocktail 2, Ek Love Ya, 100, Mugilpete, Govinda Govinda, Akshi, Madhagaja, Drishya 2, Kannadiga, Badava Rascal and Love You Rachchu had fallen prey to piracy. Not just that, the recently released film of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, James was also leaked online.

Talking about the film’s reviews online, the film has received terrific response from moviegoers and the ratings are between 3.0- 4.0.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF 2 has Sanjay Dutt playing the main antagonist, and Srinidhi Shetty and Raveena Tandon appearing in key roles with Yash as the lead.

Eventually, at the end of it, he takes off the T-shirt underneath his leather motorcycle jacket and gives it to Wogan. So he’s just wearing the leather jacket with no shirt. And I’m like, this guy has always done exactly what he wanted to do at all times.

In your movie, middle-aged, sad sack Nicolas Cage is haunted by this young, wild version of himself, who appears to him, argues with him, torments him…sort of like a movie

When I met Nic and we talked about it, that was the basis for the character in the movie. He said, “I find that guy so obnoxious, but I’d love to get back into his skin and present him as a villain in the film.” Movie

When I was young, I remember first becoming aware of Nicolas Cage when he ate a bug in the movie Vampire’s Kiss. We’re fascinated and unsettled by that uninhibitedness in him KGF Hindi Movie

We’re all sort of protecting our identities. And that was one of the pitches for doing this movie: Your identity is litigated in public. You know, it’s constantly, “We love Nic…” or “We hate Nic…”Movie Download This film was an opportunity for a performance art piece, where he could take the reins of that narrative and manipulate it in any way that he wants, the same way he lives his life.

There have been other examples of meta movies that blur reality and fiction. movie Cage was in one the best, Adaptation, playing the screenwriter Charlie Kaufman in a script written by Charlie Kaufman. Another example, also written by Kaufman, would be Being John Malkovich, which takes a real actor and wraps an outrageous narrative around him. Both were directed by Spike Jonze. Were those films an influence on you?

Absolutely. Those guys are true creative heroes, and Adaptation and Raising Arizona are two of my favorite Nicolas Cage performances. Those were huge influences on us when we were writing and making this film, Movie Download trying to live up to the incredibly high bar that those films set. We actually started writing properly in 2018, so by the end of the year, we had a script that we were showing around.

What’s the next step? How do you begin to approach Cage himself?

We gave it to Nic’s representation who, you know…Look, Movie if I were a filmmaker with a long history, if we were actually talking about Charlie Kaufman or Spike Jonze, they would go, “Great. We’ll give it to Nic!” And I could say, “Trust me, I got this.” But I’m me. I don’t have this track record that I could lean on where there’s an inherent sense that I’m going to pull this off.

How did his reps react initially?

I think it was truly terrifying to them. To their credit, they liked the script and were willing to give it to him. Movie Download But they were like, “Uh, okay, I don’t know.” The last thing you want to do is make your client upset or offended with a piece of material. And this project—certainly in the first 20 pages, Movie Download where he doesn’t look great—could be that type of project.
